WE'rE BUILDING THEM AGAIN

Rebuildable Piston Oil Squirter
(Patent Pending)

We’re proud to introduce our new rebuildable piston oil squirter

a first in Porsche 911 engineering technology!

The Problem

Anyone who has rebuilt a Porsche 911 air cooled engine will soon realize that Porsche never gave much thought to the rebuild of these motors, and one of the best examples of this mentality is the humble piston squirter. While the idea of cooling the underside of a piston with engine oil has great technical merit, Porsche also managed to create a piston squirter that:

  • Cannot be disassembled
  • Cannot be internally inspected
  • Is an absolute nightmare to remove from the case
  • Cannot be adjusted for flow short of replacing the entire unit
  • Is difficult to install, even in the best of conditions

Frankly, we were sick and tired of dealing with the stock squirters; sick of dealing with clogs, sick of not really ever knowing what was inside the squirter capsule itself. So we fixed it!

The Solution

The solution is our patent pending rebuildable oil squirter; in over 50 years of Porsche flat 6 motors, there is nothing like it. Our rebuildable squirter is, as the name implies, FULLY REBUILDABLE. For once, you can tear the motor down and inspect the insides of the squirters and the galleries that feed them. No more fears of clogs or debris – now you can know for sure. Our squirter:

  • Is fully rebuildable
  • Does not require tapping of the case to install. Installation is a snap compared to stock ones
  •  Comes in different orifice sizes to suit different flow needs
  • Contains a check valve system like stock, so you don’t need to worry about idle oil pressure

How it Works

The squirter barrel is made of quality steel and is available in two diameters: 6.0mm (for stock, unmodified engines where the squirter bores are in good shape) and 6.6mm (oversize, for damaged bores) just like the factory units.

The barrels are easily installed with a 5/32” drift and are a light press fit within the web of the case. They are secured with Loctite 640, just like the stock squirters, and require no tapping of the case.

The squirter contains a ball bearing and spring just like the stock one, except in this case the springs and bearings can be inspected, cleaned, and replaced if necessary.

Orifice Sizing

Because of the fact that the internal geometry of our squirters is slightly different than the stock ones, while preserving the same flow, we recommend the following orifice sizes for our squirters:

  • 911 (1965-1989): 1.5mm
  • 930 (all years): 2.0mm
  • 964, 993, and all high performance motors: 2.5mm

Additionally, if you want more oil flow, you can use the next size up. Custom orifice sizes available by request. Price: $45 each, which includes barrel, cap, spring, and ball.
